She completed her M.B.B.S. and M.D. in Microbiology from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH). After her postgraduate training, she pursued 3 years of Senior Residency at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital (BSAH), Delhi, where she gained extensive exposure to advanced microbiological techniques and hospital infection control.

Since 2018, Dr. Rongpharpi has been working at Dispur Clinical Laboratory (DCL) as a Consultant Microbiologist and Infection Control Officer, where she contributes to both diagnostic excellence and patient safety initiatives.
